Service Area & Out-of-Seoul Assignments

Guide services are mainly arranged in Seoul, Incheon and the Gyeonggi metropolitan area. Assignments in Busan, Gyeongju, Gangwon, Jeju and other regions may also be arranged subject to guide availability and regional operating conditions.

Typical Conditions for Out-of-Seoul Assignments:
When a Seoul-based guide travels with the group out of the metropolitan area for multi-day itineraries, the following additional expenses may apply:
  1. Travel Time and Regional Allowance: Additional charges may apply when the assignment requires long-distance travel or substantial travel time outside the metropolitan area.
  2. Transportation: Round-trip KTX express train tickets or commercial vehicle transit costs must be reimbursed if the guide does not travel inside the client's charter bus.
  3. Accommodation: For overnight assignments, the Customer should provide a private room for the guide or reimburse the confirmed lodging cost.

How to Secure a Guide

  1. Inquiry Intake: Share your scheduled date, operational cities, raw itinerary draft, precise group size, target language, and expected profile level.
  2. Feasibility Review: Our matching coordinators evaluate peak-season calendar availability and filter candidates matching your thematic domain.
  3. Itemized Quotation: You receive a clear quotation showing the service fee, working hours, overtime terms and any expected additional expenses.
  4. Confirmation: The booking is confirmed after receipt of the required deposit or another written payment arrangement agreed by both parties.
  5. Final Assignment: The assigned guide's name and contact details are normally shared before the service date after the reservation is confirmed.

Combined Vehicle and Guide Coordination

Booking the vehicle and guide through one coordinator can reduce communication errors and make schedule changes easier to manage.

YourBus Korea coordinates the driver and assigned guide regarding pickup points, boarding times, luggage conditions, parking access, route changes and legally required driver rest periods.

Changes and Cancellation

Schedule changes should be requested as early as possible. Changes to the service date, working hours, language, city, meeting point or assignment type may affect guide availability and the final price.

Cancellation charges depend on the confirmed quotation, service date and expenses already incurred. The applicable cancellation terms will be stated in the quotation or service agreement before confirmation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we hire a guide only, without booking your charter bus?

Absolutely. Independent guide-only or interpreter-only hiring is fully supported across all major cities, contingent on seasonal availability.

What happens if the schedule exceeds the confirmed service hours?

Overtime may be requested on-site, subject to the guide's availability. Additional hours are calculated according to the overtime rate stated in the confirmed quotation or service agreement.

Are tour guides legally authorized to perform professional medical or high-tech business translations?

No. Standard licensed tour guides focus on culture, geography, and general tourism. For advanced medical tourism, complex legal deposition, or engineering contract negotiations, you must specifically book our MICE Business Interpreter tier.

What is your emergency replacement policy if a guide falls ill?

If the assigned guide becomes unavailable because of illness or another unexpected event, YourBus Korea will make reasonable efforts to arrange a replacement with similar qualifications. Replacement availability cannot be guaranteed in every location or during peak periods.
