Driver-Only or Tour Guide? Choose the Service You Actually Need

A charter bus driver and a tour guide have different roles. Many international groups need only transportation on some days and a guide on selected sightseeing days.

Driver and guide are not the same service

Driver-only service

Safe transportation

Follow the agreed route and schedule

Practical pickup/drop-off coordination

Not a professional sightseeing commentary service

Not a substitute for a licensed tour guide

Tour guide service

Sightseeing explanations

Tourism and itinerary coordination

Visitor assistance during the day

Can be added only on selected days

Common multi-day pattern: airport transfer with driver only → Seoul sightseeing with guide → intercity transfer with driver only → Busan sightseeing with guide → airport transfer with driver only.

Can the driver speak English?

Some drivers can communicate in basic English for practical transport needs. However, English-speaking driver service should not be confused with professional interpretation or detailed tourism guiding. If language support is important for meetings, sightseeing or older travelers, request a guide separately.

Driver & guide FAQ

Is the driver also a tour guide?

No. The driver is responsible for safe transportation and vehicle operation. A professional tour guide is a separate service for sightseeing explanations, itinerary coordination and tourism assistance.

Do you provide English-speaking drivers?

Some drivers can handle basic English communication, but driver language ability is not the same as professional guiding. If interpretation or detailed sightseeing explanations are important, request a professional guide.

Can I book a vehicle with an English-speaking local guide?

Yes. Guide service can be quoted separately for the days when you need it. Many multi-day groups use driver-only transport on transfer days and add a guide only for sightseeing days.

Can the driver plan our sightseeing itinerary?

Driver-only service assumes that the customer provides the main itinerary. We can review whether the route is practical, but professional tour planning and guiding should be requested separately.

Can I use a guide only on selected days?

Yes. A multi-day itinerary can mix driver-only days, guided sightseeing days and days with no vehicle service.

Can I request a driver who does not speak a certain language for confidentiality?

Special language requirements can be noted, but they must be confirmed for the specific service date and should not be treated as guaranteed until written confirmation is provided.

Not sure whether you need a guide?

Send us your itinerary. We can separate driver-only days from sightseeing days that may benefit from a professional guide.
